Fort Wayne Derby Girls to Host Spring Roll at Coliseum on May 8, 2010

The Fort Wayne Derby Girls will make history on Saturday, May 8, 2010, by hosting the first men's flat-track roller derby tournament at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum. The Fort Wayne Derby Girls are hosting an all-day tournament featuring Men's, Women's and two Junior derby bouts. Teams will be traveling from as far away as Washington state and NYC. The women's track will feature 5 nationally ranked teams participating in a single elimination tournament. The day kicks off at 8 a.m. with Fort Wayne's Bomb Squad taking on their in-state rivals, the Naptown Rollergirls from Indianapolis.

Tickets are $15 for adults, $7 for kids 6-12, and free for kids 5 and under. Tickets can be purchased at the Coliseum box office, online at www.ticketmaster.com, at all Ticketmaster outlets, or charge-by-phone through the Coliseum box office at (800) 745-3000. Some ticket prices may be subject to Ticketmaster fees.

Charities benefitting from its efforts include: SCAN, Erin's House, Charis House, Sexual Assault Treatment Center, Hoosier Burn Camp, Great Lakes Burn Camp, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Habitat for Humanity- Women Build, Easter Seals ARC, Turnstone Center for Disabled Children, Victim's Assistance Program, Make A Wish Foundation, Black Pine Animal Zoo, Ft Wayne Women's Bureau and Crossroad Children's Home.
